How links work here

Last updated: July 2026

The short version

When I mention a tool, I link it — and where a program exists, that link may be an affiliate link, meaning I may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you.

The recommendation always comes first. I only point to tools I'd genuinely use or have used to build real systems. A commission never decides whether — or how — a tool gets mentioned. If a tool is the right call and has no affiliate program, I link it anyway.

Why I use affiliate links

They let me keep publishing the DOC Model framework in the open — free essays, the newsletter, and the resources — funded partly by the tools I'd recommend regardless. It's a small, honest way to support the work.
